In the weeks following the recent Winter Olympics Gospel Trips across northern Italy, we praise the Lord for His faithful work among the various cities and localities. During the gospel trips to Vicenza and Padova, teams from various churches laboured together to preach the gospel and sow seeds of the kingdom to many local Italians, especially among university students. Across the event, there were many meaningful conversations and personal contacts that yielded numerous fruit. For Padova alone, so far the saints have contacted about 120 students among which more than 70 of them are Italians. Some of them are classmates, friends and existing contacts of the local saints, and in addition, some are from the gospel trips. Among these ones, about 30 students are in regular contact with the local saints. Thank the Lord that among these students some will be going to the European University Conference and are planning to go to the European Young People Poland Conference. The saints are also praying for the baptism of some of these students and that they would enter into the church life. As for Vicenza, constant visitations to the contacts, new ones and families of the saints have been a rich supply in strengthening and uplifting the church.

After the gospel trips during the Winter Olympics, teams from various localities from all over the world have responded with the burden to shepherd and continue the Lord’s work in and through the Body. The saints have been deeply encouraged by the visits of teams who joined the shepherding trips with a clear burden not only to sow the seed of the gospel, but to nurture and care for those who were gained. Their coming has been a great strengthening and encouragement to the local saints, and a watering and nourishing to the new ones. The coordination and fellowship were a sweet flow out from the Head to the Body which became rivers of mutual supply that sustained the saints in coworking with the Lord and the fellow members. Their visitation also brings light and life to the students as they are more open to pray and go to the meetings, to asks deep questions in fellowship, and to pursue the ministry and the word.

Praise the Lord that He is going on strongly with the students! Their openness and response to the Lord’s word and the fellowship of the Body is a testimony that the Lord is gaining more ground for His kingdom. May the Lord continue to strongly advance in His move and work throughout Italy. The saints in Italy thank you all in your prayers, visits and support. Truly the Lord is able to go on in such a way and bless the churches because of your joint participation. The Lord shall get the glory as we declare and sing His praise! He is the Victor! Jesus is Lord in Italy!

Prayer Burdens:

  1. For the gaining of precious vessels in the University of Padova through the gospel and Bible distribution, and through the campus meetings, as well as the baptism of the seeking ones

  2. For the incoming students from the saints' family and from other churches, and for the Lord to thrust out more workers for the harvest in the campus

  3. For the Lord to gain fully some of these students, for them to be released for the conferences and trainings, and obtain their consecration by going to the Full-time training

  4. For the purchasing of the student centre to contain the meetings and gatherings

  5. For the strengthening of the Lord’s testimony in Vicenza and the increase of the church, by the spread of the gospel through the distribution of the gospel tracts and Bibles, and caring of the warm doors, contacts, and new ones

  6. For the recovery of the dormant ones, the caring of the children and the young people, for the perfecting of the saints unto the building up of His Body in function and mutuality, and for the proper shepherding of the sick ones in the church

  7. For an adequate meeting place in Vicenza where the saints can hold the meetings
