Recent Update on the Present Campus Work in Padova and on the Status of the Student Centre

Dear Saints,

We thank and praise the Lord for His faithfulness in carrying us through in His present move at the University of Padova. Currently, we have a total of more than a hundred student contacts from friends, colleagues and contacts of the local saints and the gospel trips. Among them, more than 30 students, who are mostly Italians, are regularly meeting with the saints multiple times a week in the home and in the university. Some of these students have joined the recent European University Conference wherein one sister was baptised. A few of these students are also now joining our Lord’s Table Meeting in Vicenza from time to time. The saints are praying for the baptism of some of these dear ones and also for the coming of the new students from other churches for the upcoming school year as well as for the migration of saints to Padova to co-labour for the Lord’s work in Padova.

We also thank the Lord for the sweet response of the Body to this burden as many churches have prayed and brought in fellowship the desire to purchase an apartment as a student centre to contain the student meetings. Now the churches in Italy are in coordination and in fellowship alongside many other churches on the process of acquiring the property. Currently, we are in the stage of doing independent appraisals, preparing the documentations related to the government, and processing the downpayment to begin the official acquisition of the property. Related to this burden, the saints are also praying for the support not only for the purchase but also for the gospel work among the students. We look to the Lord and to the Body that in His faithfulness, He is able to supply superabundantly more than we consider or think. He is our sufficient God and our very sufficiency. Praise Him! Thank you saints for your sustaining prayers and your loving support.

Prayer Burdens:

1. For the gaining of precious vessels in the University of Padova through the gospel and Bible distribution, and through the campus meetings, as well as the baptism of the seeking ones;

2. ⁠For the incoming students from the saints' family and from other churches,  and for the Lord to thrust out more workers for the harvest in the campus;

3. ⁠For the Lord to gain fully some of these students, for them to be released for the conferences and trainings, and obtain their consecration by going to the Full-time training;

4. ⁠For the purchasing of the student centre to contain the meetings and gatherings and for the financial support of the meetings and activities.
